Intimo was launched in Melbourne by founder Sue Whyte, September 1995, as a direct selling company with a unique collection of lingerie in extended sizing. Available exclusively through in home presentations conducted by trained Indpendent Intimo Lingerie Stylists, demand for the collection grew rapidly. As Australian women recognised the progressive marketing plan, more and more jumped at the chance to run their own Intimo business. The company's representation continued to grow nationally and expanded across the Tasman into New Zealand in 1998. Today Intimo is recognised as one of the leading lingerie brands and direct selling companies in Australasia.
